The Beat that My Heart Skipped

Pardon my long absence. Real life -- what a drag! I had posted this on my blog in November and then removed it as an apology when I thought I had offended someone. That was a silly thing to do. By the way, Bev's daughters introduced me to this, too-- thanks, girls! (But honestly, what are young girls doing watching this anyway?) Enjoy!

(Bev! Why have I lost my embedding skills???)

Ooh! I like it! The lyrics are good and the tune is very catchy. I didn't know this band but they are pretty good. The video is nice too and I love what these ladies are wearing!

I don't think you are missing much on the embedding front as it's likely to screw up your layout...

I also like both the video and the music. Now I know why my taste for music never changes; I lack the influence of the younger generation.

This is why I remain so hip. Yet I should mention that it was I that taught my girls about the wonders of Run DMC's Mary Mary. Also, because of Eva they now love Lilly Allen, and because of Ana, they love Garbage.
Well, Rerun, what do you have to suggest?

Garbage rules!!!!! I'll try to come up with other hip bands/singers when I've got a little bit more time...

Bev, here's one which I think you will like. I'm sort of an old soul. But a French old soul.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard a better singer than Jacques Brel.

Rerun: Was that the Amsterdam song? The link would not quite work. If that was it then, I really liked it. My middle daughter Emma is totally into French cafe music. She's the art student. So there is a lot of Edith Piaf and Maurice Chevalier going on in the house when she's at home and feeling Parisian. Of late she's into Peter Sarstedt, Where Do You Go To My Lovely. Check it out on You Tube. I would put the link, but I don't know how. So Sad.
